Influence of temperature and pH on polyacrylamide-based drilling fluid: Characterization and rheological study

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a biodegradable polymer with good lubricity in friction reduction. However, there insufficient guidance on the dosage of PAM and poor rheological information effects temperature pH. This study aimed to investigate characterization material analysis regarding concentration, pH, PAM. In characterization, has been shown offer hydrophilic surfaces. study, 1000 ppm was critical association as properties below were superior. due dispersion stability effect caused by concentration. Additionally, low concentration contributes bridging flocculation an unstable profile networking. When further increased saturated adsorption level, above significantly affected result alternation from steric stabilization depletion system. Furthermore, performance showing better after heating 60 °C at pH = 10. Future studies can develop modified specific additives optimized drilling.
